A unique global/local perspective:
During my 19 years of experience working in the creative field, I have lived in 5 different countries and had work run in 107 countries around the world. This diverse experience gives me the ability to celebrate the uniqueness of regions and see our commonalities.
This has helped me bring Polynesian Blue (now Virgin Samoa) to market in a way that Samoans could embrace, take Gillette to the Sochi Olympics in a way that was true to both winter sports, the Russian spirit, and the iconic brand, and create brands that can spread around the world as I did for GoDaddy, Wrigley’s, PepsiCo and more.
Finding unique positions in the market for your brand:
Whether it is a founding purpose, a product truth, or a mission statement, I believe every brand should embrace its uniqueness.
For Kinlo it meant ‘staying golden’ all the way through their design and photography.
To launch a payment device meant realizing the device knew what it stood for – Profits, Payments, Purchases (in profile the device looked like a P, get it?).
For 7UP, this meant embracing their ‘un-cola’ heritage of standing out from the crowd in a way that would be relevant for today with Feels Good To Be You.
