GoDaddy made the exciting decision to invest more in its Pro audience. We revamped the experience, invested in better products and services and then went out into the world to get them to consider us.
This launch film was centered around the benefit of ‘efficiently get more results for your clients’ – of course, everyone wants that, but it’s not a very passionate statement. And Pros are makers, and are passionate about what actually got them into the business (maybe not all the other stuff they have to do, but that’s where we come in).
We took that statement and turned it into a concept of expanding time. Because when you are efficient, you have more time to do the stuff you love.
The E X P A N D T I M E concept was continued through into a more dashboard-what-we-do-version of Expand Beyond.
And, E X P A N D was coined the name of our YoY event for Pros.
On this day, 30 years ago the first public website went live! To build connection, affinity and fandom with our Pro audience we wanted to do something fun – so we made a very digital ditty with Pawel Zadrozniak.
To keep engaging our audience in an ongoing way we launched a YouTube channel with Hero/Hub/Help content.
Including pitching, developing, and creating the 301 Permanent Redirect Series. A series that started off in a need to help out our designers and developers during COVID and how they can keep workstreams coming through, but we quickly realized our Pros need to redirect their client convos in an evergreen way – get more business from existing clients, help them post to social, learn new photography hacks to make the websites look amazing.
Plus photography that a) integrated the Pro color palette, b) added to the concept of expanding time, and c) even won a Communication Arts Award!!!!
